Zarbon is a humanoid with green coloured skin and hair that between Dodoria, are the two lieutenants and men of maximum confidence of Freezer, that it has to them in the highest esteem among his soldiers, excepting to the Ginyu Tokusentai.

He appears in Namek, accompanying to his master Freezer, during the attack on a populated area of Namekusei-jin, to obtain the Dragon Balls. His first interventions are not too spectacular limiting to the rhetoric and the dialogue. He is the first detecting the new power of Vegeta with the help of a scouter, after the battle of Vegeta in Earth, and his device explodes when it reaches the 18,000 units during the measurement.

More ahead, after the death of Dodoria, Freezer is accompanied solely by Zarbon and Appule, and Freezer orders to them to catch Vegeta and to find the last Dragon Ball.

Zarbon is able to find Vegeta, and although this one has a higher power now, Zarbon keeps a last ace in the sleeve: he is able to become a monster and to increase his power. The unique problem is that Zarbon is considered really beautiful and detests to realise this transformation, because he becomes a monster of disagreeable aspect, although finally he is forced to make it to save the life. This way he secures to advantage on saiya-jin and defeat him with relative facility, leaving him left at heart of a lake. Nevertheless Vegeta survives and he leaves to the surface.

When he backs to spaceship, Freezer reprimands him by not taking Vegeta as prionser, because perhaps he has information about the location of the last Dragon Ball, and he threatens him to death if he does not find Vegeta and takes him back. Zarbon leaves to search Vegeta, and luckily is able to find him, although he does not understand the intentions of Freezer and he does not understand the idea to heal the saiya-jin.

Fulfilling the fears of Zarbon, Vegeta is able to escape of Freezer's spaceship when he becomes sane, and in addition he robs the Dragon Balls. In this way, Freezer threaten agains Zarbon with death, if he does not find to Vegeta and reclaim the Magical Balls.

When he finally is able to locate Vegeta, that persecutes to Krilin, he faces the saiya-jin again. Nevertheless, in this occasion, saiya-jin is much more powerful due to Zenkai Power, and Zarbon result no rival for him with or without the transformation.

Zarbon tries to save the life in exchange for information on the capacity of transformation of Freezer, and finally he proposes to Vegeta to become team against the tyrant, in an attempt to avoid his own execution. But the ruthless Vegeta does not show compassion, and he eliminates Zarbon forever.
